I spent 15 years writing code, employed as a developer, then freelancing, before founding SmartCodeFixer in 2024. The problem I kept running into was always the same: runtime errors with just enough information to be misleading, and no fast path to the actual root cause. Hours gone. I stopped waiting for that tool to exist and built it myself.
The Story
SmartCodeFixer started as a personal tool. After 15 years of debugging, across freelance projects, client codebases, and late-night side projects, the pattern was always the same: stack traces that pointed at symptoms, not causes. Error messages designed for compilers, not developers.
In 2024, Emmanuel set out to build the debugging tool he wished had existed for the past decade. Months of talking to developers across companies, bootcamps, and open source projects confirmed the problem was universal. The tools weren't built around how developers actually think through bugs.
The result is SmartCodeFixer: AI that understands your code, traces errors to their root cause, and explains what went wrong in plain terms. A tool that gets more useful the more you use it. A platform built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought.
